Product Information
What is Muckender, and how is it different from a regular cleaning wipe or a baby wipe?
Muckender is an extra-large, heavy-duty saturated towel that is safe on your hands and face.
Regular heavy-duty wipes can cut grease, but they’re often hard on skin, not safe for your face, heavily scented with chemicals, and made with plastic fibers. Baby wipes are gentle, but they smear grease and paint around instead of lifting it. Muckender does both jobs. It’s tough enough for job-site muck and gentle enough for your face, with no rinse, no sticky film, and no lemon-factory smell.
How big are the towels, and how many come in a pack?
Our extra large towels are among the largest in the market: 12”x9”. There are 45 towels in a pack.
Do the towels contain plastic fibers or microplastics?
No. Unlike many heavy-duty wipes, which are made from polyester or polypropylene, Muckender towels are made from 100% plant-source fibers, with no plastic fibers and no microplastics.
Muckender towels have also been tested and approved to TÜV AUSTRIA’s OK biodegradable SOIL standard. This independent certification verifies that the material biodegrades naturally through microorganisms in soil, meeting strict requirements for biodegradation and environmental safety without leaving persistent plastic fibers behind.
What are the practical applications of Muckender Towels?
Sawdust, oil, sweat, dirt, grease, tar, paint, adhesive, caulk, permanent marker, mud. Pretty much any mess where soap and water aren’t nearby.
Use them on the job site, in the shop, in the truck, at the barn, on the boat, and on the trail.
At home they handle scuffed sneakers, muddy paws, kitchen grease, and dirty baseboards. Keep a pack in the glove box, tool bag, or gym bag.
What won’t it remove, and what shouldn’t I use it on?
Muckender is built for fresh and surface-level messes. Like any wipe, it won’t remove paint, glue or caulk that has fully cured. Don’t use on open wounds or eyes,
Is it only or professionals?
Not at all. Muckender was built with tradespeople and DIY crews, but it’s made for anyone who gets their hands dirty: weekend warriors, parents, pet owners, gardeners, boaters, campers and road-trippers. If you make messes, it’s for you.
Can I flush the towels?
No. Even though they’re made from plant-source fibers, Muckender towels won’t break down fast enough to be safe for pipes or septic systems.
How do I keep towels from drying out?
Snap the flip-top lid shut after every use. That one habit keeps the towels wet.
Store the pack lid-side down, out of direct sun. If the top towel starts to dry, flip the pack over for a few minutes so the moisture works its way back up.
For tackle boxes or gym bags, grab Travel Singles. Each one is sealed in its own packet, so it stays wet until you tear it open.
